Prosthetic bridges

A prosthetic bridge is a permanent prosthetic restoration, permanently fixed in the mouth, which cannot be removed from the mouth without the help of a doctor. A bridge is a prosthesis that is permanently incorporated into the dental arch and transmits masticatory forces in a physiological manner. The bridge consists of a span that reproduces, to varying degrees, the function and shape of the lost tooth and the elements connecting the span to the pillar, which is the natural tooth or root.

The bridges most commonly used at Jesionowa Dental Clinic:

Porcelain on steel

A porcelain bridge with a steel core. This is the most commonly used bridge, which gives a satisfactory aesthetic result while maintaining optimum treatment costs.

Porcelain on gold

A porcelain bridge with a gold core. It is a solution that provides a very satisfactory aesthetic effect, as the yellow colour of gold gives a colour similar to the natural tooth plate. In addition, gold is biocompatible, which reduces the risk of allergies, and has bacteriostatic properties.

All-ceramic

An all-ceramic bridge with zirconium oxide as its core. It is a solution that provides an excellent aesthetic effect, as zirconium is present in the natural white of the tooth. It is completely biocompatible and contains no metal in its composition.

Advantages of prosthetic bridges

  • Easy adaptation and improved user comfort
  • Restoration of missing teeth
  • Transfers chewing forces in a physiological way to the roots of the teeth
